Buying A Chateau

*Always  file the properties you like in your "personal list" so that you can consider your favorites and delete the others.

* Print a brochure on the  properties you really like and discuss these  with family and associates. 

* If you really like a property then send us an enquiry via the link at the bottom of each description page.  

* You can send a general enquiry to let us search for you once you have worked your ideal chateau description and location.

* Find out about the regions, climate and access to local air and train  services and shopping, the location can be important.

After that, if your aspirations are still to own a chateau in France, we are  there to help you. Chateaux-World  are  full time specialists in this niche market, with bi-lingual teams in France and the UK .

Chateaux-World proposes two levels of service for you to choose from:

1. As normal estate agents: 

There are over 500 selected chateaux, manoirs and classic homes for sale on the Chateaux-World website. Chateaux-World local partners are mandated by owners and with Chateaux-World, arrange viewing and negotiations.  Chateaux-World will not charge for this option and will recoup its costs from the agency fee included in the sale price.  Viewing of several favorites will be arranged for you with the owners and appointments made - we need more than a week's notice normally but last minutes are sometimes possible. 

2. As Property finders:   

Chateaux World offers a bespoke seek, find and buy service to its clients. The director in charge of your purchase will match your requirements  with chateaux available on the market place both privately and through all main specialised agents,  that are at realistic prices.

Using the results of a questionnaire and consultations with you, your Chateaux-World director will  create  a short list of properties  sourced from an extensive international network of agents, bankers, Notaires and private vendors. You need to be sure that the location and market place  was properly covered before you make your decision to purchase.

Your Chateaux-World  director will provide you with reviews of the short listed properties and take you to visit the most suitable in your short list, he will also visit some others on your behalf to save time.

The director will act as your personal agent  in negotiations with the vendor and his agent. He will help you appoint  your own  notaire and contact local authorities including the Mairie if necessary.  Chateaux-World  Directors are accustomed to dealing in legal French which even the French find difficult to understand!

Under the property finding service, these luxury homes are researched  for you by Chateaux-World directors,  thus saving valuable time and providing a comprehensive search for your requirements .  Their past experience in the negotiation and the purchasing process,  as your agent  is invaluable and cost-saving. The service is based on a small commission and an upfront payment. It will highlight any adverse situations and help in the negotiation.  Usually the finder's commission is mitigated or even recovered  by  experienced negotiation on your behalf.
